In Boston, Massachusetts, a death that occurred at a residence belonging to the husband of Democratic Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley has been officially classified as a homicide by the medical examiner's office.
The incident occurred on July 18 in the Mattapan neighborhood. Responding to reports of gunfire from residents, Boston Police arrived at a home registered in the name of Conan Harris and found 18-year-old Yoseliani Ann Marte Ocasio shot in the head. Despite intervention efforts, the young woman could not be saved.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner announced Thursday that it had determined Ocasio’s cause of death to be homicide. Property records show that the house where the incident occurred belongs to Conan Harris, the husband of Representative Ayanna Pressley. Authorities emphasized that no connection has been found between the home’s ownership and the murder.
The victim’s mother, Elenie Ocasio, told a local television station, “This coward killed my baby. He put the gun to her head, took my baby to that house and left her to die.” The mother said she knows who she believes is the perpetrator but did not name anyone.
Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley said in a written statement, “I am deeply saddened that 18-year-old Yoseliani Marte, who had so many dreams ahead of her, lost her life as a result of domestic violence.” Pressley’s office stressed that neither she nor any of her family members are connected to this incident.
