A24's "You Can See Everything," a documentary featuring Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and filmmaker Nathan Fielder, took in $15 million from only 855 screens in its opening weekend, with more than 2,000 sold-out showings, according to the studio.
It was the biggest opening for a film playing on fewer than 1,000 screens since "Borat" debuted with $26.5 million in 2006, and the biggest nonmusic documentary opening in two decades, since "Fahrenheit 9/11" made nearly $24 million from 868 theaters, The Associated Press reported. Those figures are not adjusted for inflation.

The film had been tracking for a $7 million to $8 million opening. Reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, with a 99% score on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 99 on Metacritic.
Holmes, who founded the blood-testing startup Theranos, was convicted of fraud in 2022 and sentenced to more than 11 years in prison.
