Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif came together at the Grand Mosque in Mecca following a series of high-level diplomatic meetings.
The three leaders performed Friday prayers together at the Kaaba, accompanied by senior officials and members of their respective delegations.

Images from the Grand Mosque showed Erdoğan, Mohammed bin Salman and Shehbaz Sharif praying in the same row. Other photographs captured the three leaders standing together and looking toward the Kaaba after Friday prayers.
The timing of the gathering drew particular attention as it came on a significant day for relations between Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
The three leaders had also attended a trilateral summit in Mecca, where the countries signed a joint defense agreement aimed at deepening cooperation in defense and security.

Under one of the key principles of the agreement, an armed attack against one of the participating countries would be regarded as an attack against all three, strengthening the framework for collective defense and security cooperation.
Against this backdrop, the images of Erdoğan, Mohammed bin Salman and Shehbaz Sharif performing Friday prayers together at the Kaaba carried additional symbolic significance.

The scenes from the Grand Mosque emerged as some of the most striking images of the leaders' gathering in Mecca, coming on the same day Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan took a major step toward strengthening their defense and security partnership.
