Iranian official says Tehran has no plans to negotiate with the U.S.

Iranian official says Tehran has no plans to negotiate with the U.S.

An official in Iran’s delegation to the United Nations General Assembly in New York said the country has no plans to negotiate with the United States.

The official said Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who is in the United States, would return to Iran on Tuesday after completing his previously scheduled meetings.

No response has yet arrived to the terms Iran conveyed to the United States through Qatar, and that response is being awaited.

U.S. President Trump had said that he rejected the terms put forward by Iran for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. Trump also said he expects a new round of negotiations with Iran this week.
