Greece’s opposition party KKE targeted Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’s government over its policy on Israel and its rhetoric on international law.
KKE’s press office argued that the government “supports the illegal US-Israeli interventions and wars.” The statement described the Mitsotakis government’s references to international law and international legitimacy as “a complete deception.”
Mitsotakis emphasizes commitment to international law
In the statement at the center of the criticism, Mitsotakis assessed the government’s work and referred to his engagements during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Mitsotakis said Greece would continue to remain committed to international law, multilateralism and dialogue at a time when international agreements are undergoing a difficult test.
