Iranian Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami Nia declared the complete withdrawal of the US from the Middle East as the fundamental condition of his country's resistance. Speaking at a ceremony in the city of Amol, Akrami Nia stressed that they will continue their struggle until the Washington administration leaves the region.
The spokesperson stated that the idea that the US could seize control of the Strait of Hormuz by targeting Iran's coastal bases is a misconception. "The Islamic Republic of Iran has the capacity to control the Strait of Hormuz from any point in the country, and this is never dependent on coasts and islands," he said.
Akrami Nia noted that countries providing military bases to the US are now paying heavy prices in trade and security. "Imported security is not lasting security," the spokesperson said, adding that true security can only be achieved when regional countries ensure stability and peace themselves without foreigners.
Warning that if the enemy continues attacks, Iran could deploy capabilities that have not been used so far and could affect regional equations, Akrami Nia noted that the conflict is being managed and can be sustained for years if necessary. "The enemy does not have the capacity for a prolonged war, and this is one of its weaknesses," he said.
Akrami Nia also expressed his belief that the US President will change his stance in the coming days and ultimately seek dialogue, peace, and agreement. He added that the armed forces draw their strength from the support of the Iranian people.
