The Las Vegas Valley ranked 66th out of 73 North American cities in Numbeo's quality-of-life index based on data through mid-2026, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
Las Vegas scored below average on nearly every measure, with its lowest result in the ratio of property prices to income, making housing the valley's weakest area.

Only seven cities ranked lower: Los Angeles, which came in last, followed by Detroit, New York, Phoenix and the Canadian cities of Regina, Winnipeg and Hamilton. Ottawa topped the list, followed by Tampa, Florida; Oklahoma City; and Tucson, Arizona.
