Most of a vessel belonging to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, believed to have been hit off Bandar Abbas, remained underwater.
The footage shows that the vessel was converted from a commercial ship and that sections outside its living quarters were submerged. Anti-aircraft systems were visible on the parts that remained above water.
The lifeboats prepared to evacuate the crew were also rendered unusable after the vessel caught fire completely. The wreckage, which has not yet been removed, could sink entirely and pose a danger to maritime traffic in the area because some of the living quarters remain above water.
