Claims that an athlete celebrated a win over an Israeli opponent by running a lap with a Palestinian flag are circulating again alongside a video from the 2025 Kazakhstan Open taekwondo tournament in Astana. Neither the athlete’s identity nor the opponent’s nationality has been independently verified.
The footage, filmed at the tournament held Aug. 14–16, 2025, shows the athlete, described as having just won a bout, unfurling the flag and running around the competition area with it.

Those spreading the clip say the athlete represents Kazakhstan and celebrated in front of the Israeli team after the victory.
