The U.S. Department of Defense has released new files as part of an effort to make government archives on UFOs and unidentified aerial phenomena public. The sixth installment includes video footage, photographs and various official documents.
The release process is being carried out after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered a review of government archives related to UAPs and UFOs and their release to the public.
Footage from over Utah included in files
The new installment includes video footage recorded over Utah in 1952 showing objects that appeared to be moving in formation.
The files also include an expenditure report on a government study conducted in 2008 to examine certain unexplained aerial phenomena. The study's cost was recorded as approximately $22 million.
Pentagon preparing further installments
Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell announced that work was continuing to prepare the next installment of documents. Parnell said the department would gradually release new files in the near future.
The process of releasing documents related to UFOs and unidentified aerial phenomena began in May. The first series was made public on May 8, while the fifth series was released on August 7.
The archives contain dozens of videos and photographs, as well as firsthand accounts from civilians and military personnel, investigation records and official reports.
