NBC's 'Today' show host Savannah Guthrie made an emotional plea to viewers during a televised broadcast in the 20th week of her mother Nancy Guthrie's disappearance.
Guthrie implored the public for any new information following reports that one ransom note sent to the family claimed her mother was dead. "I want to use this opportunity to just ask people, to really beg. Someone knows something. This is a new story on your radar today, but this is the life my sister, me, my brother, our extended family, our kids live every day. We are in pain," she said.
Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped from her home in Catalina Foothills north of Tucson 20 weeks ago. Savannah Guthrie added, "We cannot be at peace, no matter how much I try to come here every day and smile and find that joy, and I will, I promise I will, this is the moment to tell you we need your help. We beg for your help. I will not miss that opportunity. And please, if you are watching, you can tell us, no matter how small the reward. It can be anonymous. Please do the right thing for us, our family, our kids. We love our mom. We will never stop looking for her, never."
