New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani made strong statements targeting the pro-Israel lobby group AIPAC in the US.

Mamdani said, "We are talking about a status quo where children are killed on a daily basis," and claimed that more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli army since the "so-called ceasefire."

Describing AIPAC as "an organization that supports the status quo, opposing any attempt to provide real security to people not just in Palestine but across much of the region," Mamdani said, "This is an immoral status quo, and I will not accept it."
