Alexandros Paporakis, a 19-year-old from Palatine, Illinois, accused of plotting a mass shooting at a Hindu temple in nearby Aurora, will continue to receive hormone treatment while in custody. A Cook County judge ordered him held without bond and issued a jailhouse healthcare order noting that he is treated for ADHD, depression and anxiety and receives hormone injections for gender transition.
According to police, Paporakis drove to the temple with a rifle, but the weapon malfunctioned and he returned home. He was arrested after a co-worker alerted authorities. Investigators say an eight-page manifesto found in the case describes him as a white supremacist and neo-Nazi and calls for a mass shooting of Indian people.

Federal charges not ruled out
Paporakis faces one count of making a terrorist threat and one count of unlawful possession of a short-barreled rifle, both felonies. The FBI said federal charges have not been ruled out. Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi said the targeted temple is one he attends.
