President Donald Trump said Saturday that he has offered the job of White House press secretary to Dana White, the president and CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
"I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump said he had asked White to bring with him as "assistants" Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes and Kayla Harrison, "even though some are not from our Country." "We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!" he added.
The White House did not immediately confirm the offer, and it was unclear whether White has accepted. White is a longtime friend and supporter of Trump and has appeared at several of his campaign events.
The announcement came as Trump reshapes his team after the midterm elections, in which Democrats won control of both chambers of Congress. Earlier this week he named Stephen Miller as his chief of staff.
