US Border Patrol detains 14 migrants, including Turkish citizen, in Texas smuggling bust
The US Border Patrol detained two suspects in a human smuggling operation in El Paso, Texas, and initiated deportation proceedings for 14 irregular migrants, including a Turkish citizen.
The US Border Patrol (USBP) carried out a human smuggling operation in El Paso, Texas. During the operation, two suspected human smugglers were detained.
Officials announced that among the 14 irregular migrants detected in the operation was a Turkish citizen. All migrants were handed over to relevant units for the initiation of deportation proceedings.
El Paso is known as one of the areas on the US-Mexico border where irregular migration and human smuggling activities are intense. Such operations by the US Border Patrol continue routinely in the region.
