In Tempe, Arizona, a youth brawl that erupted at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant on Monday evening sent customers fleeing in panic. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. local time during a monsoon storm that was affecting the area.
Footage recorded by witnesses on their cellphones shows a group of youths punching each other and knocking each other to the ground inside the restaurant. As the brawl started, many customers quickly fled outside while some took shelter under tables.
Police say suspects fled
The Tempe Police Department stated that they responded to the scene but that those involved in the brawl fled on foot and in vehicles. Authorities are continuing to interview witnesses and restaurant staff to determine the cause of the fight.
This incident once again brings to light youth violence at fast-food restaurants across the U.S. In May, a similar brawl occurred at a Chipotle restaurant in Washington D.C., where a masked group threw chairs and frightened customers.
