Some early buyers of the iPhone Duo, Apple's first foldable phone, are reporting that its folding inner display cracks after just hours or days of use, according to reports by Bloomberg and 404 Media.
Some users said they heard a loud crunching noise before a crack appeared, while others described display malfunctions and visible creases down the middle of the screen. The phone, unveiled at Apple's September event, costs about $2,000.

Apple told Bloomberg it was "aware of an issue impacting the inner display on a small number of iPhone Duo units." The company had said it solved the durability problems that have long troubled foldable phones made by rivals.
