Palestine supporters called on the French government to impose sanctions on Israel at a march held in Paris on Saturday.
Gathering at Place du Châtelet at the call of the EuroPalestine association, demonstrators carried Palestinian flags. Participants marched toward Place de la Bourse carrying signs that read “Boycott Israel” and “Freedom for Palestinians.”
Protests over Gaza and the West Bank
During the march, demonstrators chanted slogans describing the attacks in Gaza as genocide. Protesters also expressed their determination to continue voicing their opposition on the issue.
Participants also carried photographs showing events in Gaza alongside images of the Holocaust during World War II. The march also protested the demolition of Palestinian homes and attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
