Pope Leo XIV held a private meeting with Bad Bunny on Monday evening in Madrid. The two met during their programs in Spain.
The Vatican confirmed the meeting the following day and stated that the Pope also briefly greeted the Puerto Rican artist’s family and other accompanying individuals.
The meeting took place at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid. The Vatican indicated that no photos from the meeting are expected to be made public.
Bad Bunny is currently performing on stage as part of his world tour, which began last month at Riyadh Air Metropolitan. The Madrid leg marks his first concerts in Spain in eight years.
This concert series is considered one of the largest organized by a Latin artist in Europe. Meanwhile, approximately 80,000 people attended Pope Leo XIV’s event at the Bernabéu Stadium on the same day.
According to the Vatican, during his 13 months in the papacy, Leo XIV has reached a live audience of about 2 million people across various events.
