Turkish consulate in Houston welcomes Elin Energy and Borusan Pipe US executives
Türkiye’s Consulate General in Houston hosted executives of solar module maker Elin Energy and Borusan Pipe US President Oğuzhan Kuşcuoğlu, whose companies both run manufacturing plants in Texas.
Türkiye’s Consulate General in Houston welcomed executives of Elin Energy LLC, one of the leading Turkish investors in Texas: Arda Yalı, Afşin Meşe, Ercan Kalafat and Murat Karakeçili. Borusan Pipe US President Oğuzhan Kuşcuoğlu also paid a visit. The consulate thanked its guests for their courtesy calls.
Turkish manufacturing around Houston
Elin Energy, a Turkish solar module manufacturer founded in 1981, operates in the United States under the Sirius PV USA name. The company began producing solar modules in March 2024 at a plant in Waller County, west of Houston.
Borusan Pipe US has run a steel pipe mill in Baytown, east of Houston, since 2014, making oil country tubular goods and line pipe for the energy industry. A new production line commissioned in 2024 raised the plant’s annual capacity from 300,000 to 400,000 tons.
