Turkish Embassy in Vilnius marks Republic Day with women’s journey and regional cuisine
Ahead of Republic Day on Oct. 29, the Turkish Embassy in Vilnius and the International Women’s Association of Vilnius held an event on the journey of Turkish women since the founding of the Republic and the cuisine of Türkiye’s seven regions.
The Turkish Embassy in Vilnius hosted an event with the International Women’s Association of Vilnius (IWAV) as part of celebrations for Türkiye’s Republic Day, which falls on Oct. 29.
The program traced the journey of Turkish women from the proclamation of the Republic in 1923 to the present day, with a presentation titled "Women of Türkiye," and introduced guests to the rich culinary traditions of Türkiye’s seven geographical regions.
"We were pleased to share our cultural heritage and contribute to strengthening Türkiye-Lithuania friendship," the embassy said.
