During the reception, mezzo-soprano Lori Şen and pianist Bahar Soyöz performed works by Turkish and American composers.

The Fulbright Program, the U.S. government's flagship international educational exchange program, has operated in Türkiye since an agreement signed in 1949, making the Turkish commission one of the oldest in the world.
Over the decades, thousands of Turkish and American students, scholars and teachers have studied, taught and conducted research in each other's countries through the program.
