Türkiye has released an official song for COP31, the UN climate change conference it will host in the Mediterranean city of Antalya next month. COP31 President Murat Kurum, who is also Türkiye's Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, unveiled the English-language track, "Let's COP," with the message "One world, one call, Let's COP."
The song calls for action against climate change and for building a shared future, urging listeners to protect the oceans, forests and future generations. Its music video showcases Türkiye's natural and cultural landscapes, from Antalya's sunlit coastline and rivers to forests, mountains and ancient theaters.
First played in Istanbul
Kurum first played the song for editors-in-chief of Turkish media outlets at a meeting in Istanbul on COP31 preparations. He said the summit's arts and culture program was among the initiatives he was most excited about and that the conference should be promoted more powerfully through art.
COP31 will take place in Antalya from Nov. 9 to 20. It is the first time Türkiye hosts the annual Conference of the Parties, which brings together the 197 parties to the UN climate convention.
