A Utah girl who disappeared from her family's home nearly a year and a half ago has been found alive in Oregon, ending a search that stretched across several states and more than 500 days.
Kylie Arellano, now 17, was recovered Sunday afternoon, Nov. 1, by Oregon law enforcement officers working with the FBI's Salt Lake City field office and the Rich County Sheriff's Office. She was found with a 39-year-old man, who was taken into custody without incident, authorities said.

Vanished at 15
Kylie was 15 when her family last saw her on May 29, 2025, at their home in Garden City, a small town on the shore of Bear Lake in northern Utah. Investigators followed dozens of unconfirmed sightings over the following months, and the Rich County sheriff urged the public to preserve any photos or time-stamped evidence. Weeks before she was found, her mother marked the 500-day milestone of her disappearance online.
According to a law enforcement source cited by Fox News, the suspect allegedly met the teen on Snapchat before she went missing. Authorities have not released the man's name or the charges he faces.

'The FBI and our partners are coming for you'
"Tonight, local police in Oregon brought a minor who had been missing for a year and a half to safety, acting on information provided by our FBI Salt Lake City Field Office," FBI Director Kash Patel said. In a pointed warning, he added: "To anyone using gore groups to target and exploit children: the FBI and our partners are coming for you."
The FBI said it had pursued leads from across the U.S. and abroad and that no further details would be released while the case is ongoing. The Oregon State Police, FBI Portland and the Utah Department of Public Safety also took part. Kylie's grandmother thanked investigators on X for bringing "our baby girl" home.
