Montreal's Turkish community and travelers heading to Türkiye now have a nonstop option from Quebec. Air Transat's new Montreal–Istanbul route took off on Oct. 29 with flight TS314, Türkiye's Consulate General in Montreal announced. The service will operate year-round with Airbus A330 aircraft, with up to two flights a week.
Photos shared from the launch show a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the departure gate at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport and crew members posing with an oversized "YUL–IST" boarding pass.

A second Canadian gateway to Istanbul
The Montreal route complements Air Transat's Toronto–Istanbul service, launched in December 2025. Together, the two routes give the Canadian carrier up to five weekly flights to Istanbul, according to schedule data compiled by the aviation site AeroRoutes. Through the airline's partnership with Turkish Airlines, passengers can connect in Istanbul to destinations across Türkiye and Asia.
According to schedule filings, flight TS314 leaves Montreal in the evening and lands in Istanbul the following afternoon, while the return flight, TS315, departs Istanbul in the afternoon and arrives back in Montreal the same evening.
