Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi travels to Berlin on European tour
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi traveled to Berlin after the France leg of his first European tour. Al-Zaidi is scheduled to discuss regional and international issues with Friedrich Merz, along with cooperation in energy, security and transport.
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi traveled to Berlin after visiting France as he continues his first European tour.
His planned meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is expected to focus on regional and international issues, as well as efforts to expand cooperation in energy, security and transport.
Berlin follows France
Berlin is the second stop on the Iraqi prime minister’s European tour. As part of the tour, which began on Sunday, al-Zaidi met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris on Monday.
Al-Zaidi is making his first European tour since taking office in May.
