Mike Tyson arrives in Istanbul to appear in Turkish TV series 'Tuzlu Kahve'
Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson arrived in Istanbul with his family to take part in the Turkish drama series "Tuzlu Kahve," which airs on Star TV. He told reporters at the airport he was very happy to be in Türkiye.
Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has arrived in Istanbul with his family to take part in "Tuzlu Kahve" ("Salty Coffee"), a drama series broadcast on Turkish channel Star TV. Details of his role have not been announced.
Speaking to reporters at a private terminal at Istanbul Airport, Tyson said he was very happy to be there and was looking forward to coming back to Türkiye. Asked whether he follows Turkish football, he said the only teams he knew were Brazil and Argentina.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1966, Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion in history when he won the WBC title at age 20 in 1986. In November 2024, at 58, he returned to the ring against Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, losing by unanimous decision.
