Venezuela's government and a delegation representing the opposition-led National Assembly elected in 2015 concluded a third round of national transition talks in Caracas, reaching agreements on political bans and frozen assets abroad.
According to a joint statement signed by pro-government parliament speaker Jorge Rodríguez and the 2015 assembly delegation head Dinorah Figuera, the sides agreed to review the organic law of the Comptroller General's Office, including administrative procedures behind bans on opposition leaders.

Opposition leader and Nobel Peace Prize laureate María Corina Machado is the most prominent figure barred from running for public office under such a ban.
The delegations also agreed to set up a joint commission to coordinate with institutions in Britain on releasing Venezuela's gold reserves frozen at the Bank of England.
