White House announced that President Donald Trump supports Vice President JD Vance's views on foreign countries' efforts to influence US policies. Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, while answering journalists' questions, recalled Vance's statements that people funded by Israel attacked him and tried to influence US policy.
Leavitt said, "I think the President absolutely agrees with that. Yes, foreign states are definitely trying to influence American public opinion. There is no doubt about that. To me, that's just a basic reality."

Vice President Vance had previously claimed that during Trump's election campaign, people funded by the Israeli government ruthlessly attacked him. Vance had said, "They are attacking me because I am trying to achieve the negotiation goal the President set for the country."
Vance, noting that Israel is more effective than many other countries in influencing US policy, had responded to the attacks against him with the words "To hell with them." Touching on the fact that some Israeli officials are uncomfortable with the peace negotiations between Iran and the US, Vance had said, "A lot is being said about how much the Israeli government influences American policy, and there are people within the Israeli government who hate this deal. We are seeing concrete evidence of that."
