Calley Means, a senior White House adviser and one of the leading figures of the "Make America Healthy Again" movement, has resigned less than two weeks before the midterm elections, the Wall Street Journal first reported on Thursday.
Means, who is credited with introducing Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to President Donald Trump, did not give a reason for leaving. "I leave with tremendous respect for President Trump and RFK," he said, adding that the MAHA movement was "just getting started."

Politico reported that Means was frustrated by delays in releasing a revised federal definition of ultraprocessed food, while CNN, citing people familiar with his decision, said he was frustrated with the government's progress on tackling chronic disease.
A White House spokesperson thanked Means, saying he had done a fantastic job for the MAHA movement.
