The San Diego Police Department announced that security measures were being taken around the San Diego Islamic Center in California and urged the public to stay away from the area.
The center was locked down as a precaution after a threat was made on Tuesday. Police presence was established in the area to ensure security.

The department issued a public safety alert seeking a gray 2015 Toyota 4Runner in the area. The public was urged not to approach the vehicle if it is seen with New York license plate KGN3027 and to call 911 immediately.
Senior officials closed the building for security and informed the families of children attending the school housed at the center.
