Türkiye's Embassy in Mexico City celebrated the 103rd anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye with a reception attended by Turkish citizens living in Mexico and members of the diplomatic corps.
The embassy said the anniversary was celebrated "with enthusiasm" at the event, held under a tent decorated with strings of small Turkish flags. Guests posed for photos between the Turkish and Mexican flags, among them a uniformed military officer.

Speeches and a folk dance show
The program opened with speeches from a podium set up in front of a portrait of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic, flanked by the two countries' flags.

Dancers in traditional Turkish costume then took the stage for a folk dance performance, before the crowd of Turkish families, diplomats and local friends gathered for a group photo.
Türkiye and Mexico established diplomatic relations in 1927 and have expanded trade, tourism and cultural ties in recent years. The Turkish community in Mexico, though small, includes business people, students and families, many of whom joined the reception.
