Türkiye has recovered 100 cultural artifacts from museums and collections in the United States, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism said on Monday, calling it another success in the fight against the smuggling of historical artifacts.
Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy presented the artifacts to the public at the Istanbul Archaeology Museums, where he also opened an exhibition titled "No Escape: Boubon."

According to the ministry, archival documents, scientific analyses and international judicial cooperation made it possible to bring back the artifacts, which had been abroad for years, in a process stretching from Horoztepe and Düver to Aphrodisias and Boubon.
The ministry said it would continue its efforts to protect Anatolia's historical heritage and to recover artifacts that were taken out of the country in the past.
