"I think Congress made a mistake not protesting turning the Rose Garden into what looks like the entrance to Liberace's bathroom," Clinton said at a Democratic campaign event in Hollywood, Florida, The Independent reported.
Trump paved over the White House Rose Garden lawn last year, replacing it with a stone patio and adding tables with yellow-and-white striped umbrellas reminiscent of his Mar-a-Lago club. Trump has defended the change, saying the grass "was always wet."

Liberace was a pianist and entertainer, popular from the 1950s to the 1970s, known for his bedazzled costumes and glitzy pianos.
Clinton was in Florida to campaign for former Rep. David Jolly, the Democratic candidate for governor, who faces Republican Rep. Byron Donalds. Trump campaigned for Donalds in Fort Myers on Friday.
The Rose Garden has been part of the White House since 1903. Clinton hosted the leaders of Israel and Jordan there in 1994 for the signing of the Washington Declaration.
