President Donald Trump drew attention with a crude remark about rapper Nicki Minaj's body during a campaign rally in Port Huron, Michigan, on Sunday, hours after the two flew together aboard Air Force One.
Before inviting Minaj to speak, Trump referred to her backside and asked her to stand up, saying, "That's hard to miss!" He then added, "I hope Nicki wasn't insulted, we love Nicki," noting that she had been with his campaign for a long time.
The comment was widely described as lewd in media coverage. Trump's "War Room" account shared the clip with a post joking about Minaj as a future press secretary.
'Forever and ever'
Minaj, who waved to the crowd from the VIP area, told rallygoers: "It is an honor to stand with you every single time. I will continue to support you forever and ever." She also said she would back Trump again if he ran again.

Trump was in Michigan to campaign for Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers and gubernatorial candidate John James ahead of the Nov. 3 elections.
Minaj, one of Trump's most prominent celebrity supporters, flew with the president to the rally aboard Air Force One, where she praised his handling of the economy and dismissed unfavorable polls as "fake."
