Türkiye's Embassy in Ottawa joins Atatürk School's Republic Day celebration
Türkiye's Embassy in Ottawa attended the Oct. 29 Republic Day event organized by the Atatürk School in Ottawa, where children performed a program they had prepared for the holiday.
Türkiye's Embassy in Ottawa attended a Republic Day event organized by the city's Atatürk School to mark Oct. 29, the day the Republic of Türkiye was proclaimed.
The embassy said it was very pleased to attend the celebration and to watch the program the children had prepared.
A crescent-and-star dance
Dressed in red and white, students danced while holding cut-outs of the Turkish crescent and star in a hall decorated with Turkish flags, as guests watched and applauded.
A speech was also delivered in front of the students. Students, teachers, parents and guests posed together for a group photo in front of the Turkish flags.
